"I was fortunate enough to hire Negin Saberi to lead brand enforcement for the Beats by Dr. Dre brand (headphones, earphones, speakers). She quickly learned the brand from technical specifications to global patent and trademark portfolio to the executives' perspectives and goals in this area. She then headed out globally to audit and remedy our factories’ security and processes, to assess the counterfeit presence of the brand in each major market and online, to meet with regional sales leads and distributors and to build a global network of investigators and law enforcement contacts for our brand. She successfully built a world-class counterfeit enforcement program that decreased our in-region counterfeit presence, increased brand awareness with global law enforcement and tackled the constant onslaught of online counterfeits. Negin is thoughtful, smart, practical and aggressive in tactics. She was excellent at building internal relationships with our Ops, Product and Marketing teams and she did a tremendous job keeping all stake-holders well informed of her actions and plans by constant communication and delivering results as promised. She initiated and drove a serialization program for products and packaging that increased our enforcement abilities in grey market and diversion matters as well as contributed key language to contracts to ensure enforcement within our supply chain and customer base. If all of that is not impressive enough, then add that she was able to self-fund her budget with over $1.5M in fee recoveries for the first half of 2014 alone.
